This is a newly uncovered Headstone.
Will of Nathaniel Hearle, gentleman, of West Looe, dated 1808. PROB 11/1484/195 National Archives, names his wife, children and his property over six pages.
In 1804 Nathaniel Hearle is described as a ‘Gentleman’ in the churchwarden inventory. On one of the Talland Church bells, his name is inscribe, along with Charles Turner, dated 1788. They were both listed as churchwardens together, on this date.
