– Ancestry Records show – Martha (nee Rowett) married William Ponsonby Johns at Talland church, April 1824. As a widow she is living with Christopher Moody & his wife Philippa, who had a Linen Drapery in Pike St. Liskeard. By 1871 she was living on Talland Hill, in Polperro. On her death she left £1,222 to Philippa Moody, widow, niece.
Mother – Martha Rowett (née Guy), the third child of Charles and Elizabeth Guy (née Rowe). Father – Charles Rowett was the brother of William Rowett who married Martha’s sister, Elizabeth Guy.
