Parish records show Charles Guy Rowett (1796-1797) was baptised on 7 December 1796 and buried in Talland church on 14 June 1797, 7 months old. His parents are named as Charles (1774-1807) & Martha Rowett (née Guy) (1775-1855).
His Ledger Stone 21 is found half hidden in front of the church organ.
Charles and Martha are celebrated on their tombchest in the higher graveyard, together with daughter Susanna Rowett (1799-1862) and her husband Richard Quiller (1796-1849), Inn Keeper of Polperro. By 1851 Martha & Susanna, both widows, were living on Talland Hill, with a house servant, and described as Land Proprietors.
