Baptism records for Richard Allen Jane, 6 July 1830 at St. Martins by Looe, show his father as Henry – Captain Royal Navy and mother as Jane, of West Looe, parish of Talland. It also notes that Richard Allen Jane had previously been ‘privately baptised on 3 December 1819 by Revd. W. Babb Minister, of East Looe.’
