~ Slate ~ ‘Remember Death’ is the mantra, together with an incised Nowy head framing a winged angle beneath the flaming sun, either side an hourglass, and a heart pierced with pointed arrowhead.

William Rendle (1780-1784) was baptised at Talland church on 22 April 1781; his parents were Thos (1755-) and Margaret[t] Rendle (née Tapril 1745-), who were married at Talland on 14th October 1780. Thomas was baptised at Talland and Margaret at Lansallos.
