- Parish Records: Marriage – 19 December 1795 – Charles Rowett & Martha Guy, at Talland Church
Charles and Martha are celebrated on their tombchest in the higher graveyard, Headstone 259 together with daughter Susanna Rowett (1799-1862) and her husband Richard Quiller (1796-1849), Inn Keeper of Polperro. By 1851 Martha & Susanna, both widows, were living on Talland Hill, with a house servant, and described as Land Proprietors.
Martha Rowett (née Guy), the third child of Charles and Elizabeth Guy (née Rowe). Charles Rowett was the brother of William Rowett who married Martha’s sister, Elizabeth Guy.
Charles and Martha had three known children, all baptised at Talland.

- Susanna Rowett – baptised 13 April 1799 – married Richard Quiller, a mariner & innkeeper of Polperro.
- Martha Rowett – baptised 9th April 1802 – married William Ponsonby Johns, who was lost at sea on the 26th May 1840. Headstone 260
