~ Slate ~ An incised Nowry head encircles a winged angel’s head. Centrally detailed illustrations of an hourglass, heart & arrow and skull with ruff. A few chips to the outer edges, but the stone is in good condition

  • Dr. Johnathan Couch (1798-1870) in his publication History of Polperro, tells us that Thomas Gurney (1708-1760) became Vicar of Talland church in 1754 and married Anne Charke at Lansallos on 19th May 1755.
