Ledger Stone 37
~ Slate ~ A complete stone, although a little chipped around the edges, with an incised double lined boarder shaped with a Nowy head and concave shoulders, at both top and bottom of inscription. The roman script is delicate and clearly defined in capital letters.

- Named after her grand-mother Loveday Harris, Loveday Nicholas (1778-1805) had a twin sister called Frances (1778-), they were born 16 February 1778. Loveday would have been 6years old when her mother Sarah Kingston (-1784) died and 10years old when her grand-father Paul Nicholas (1721-1787) died, and 11years old when her father Paul Harris Nicholas (1753-1788) died. Her father had married for the second time to Anne Blake (1760-) who was mentioned by her brother, in his will, as being kind and affectionate. Loveday died aged 27years old and her brother, also buried here, Capt. Nicholas Harris Nicholas (1781-1806) died a year later.
