This stone lies beneath the colour glass window on the North wall.

During the ‘Modern Restoration’ of 1848-50 the north wall was re-built; the coloured glass was a gift from great -great grandson Nathaniel Hearle (1785-1870), Mayor, living at Bridge-end in West Looe.

Many members of the Hearle family can be found in the higher graveyard of Talland Church. Five generations have served as Church Wardens since 1735.
