Paul Harris Nicholas (1753-1788) was the son of Paul Nicholas (1721-1787). His birth register names his father and mother and their parents, all of East Looe, and gives the date and time of his birth “born the 13th day of the 11 month called November 1753 about half after 8 o’clock in the morning” He married Sarah Kingston (-1784) in 1777; two of their three children are buried in the church – Loveday Nicholas (1778-1805) and Nicholas Harris Nicholas (1781-1806). Paul married a second time, after Sarah died, to Anne Blake (1760-) in 1786, but two years later when his children were still under 10 years old, Paul dies aged 34years. Two of Paul’s brothers married two of Ann’s sisters.
