Richard Barrett died on 23rd December 1832 and was buried on 28th December 1832 at Lansallos Church. Richard was baptized at Talland Church on 20th July 1766, son of Richard and Jane (Burn). 

Richard married Ann Rendle on 15th April 1794 at Talland Church (Rendle, Rundle and Randall are variations of the same name). His occupation was listed as fisherman.

Richard is referred to as being one of the owners of the smuggling vessel the Lottery in the Customs notice dated 4th November 1799 (Richard Barrett, the younger, a dark complexion, long thin face, black straight hair, about 5 feet 6 inches high, about 32 years of age, very thin, and rather stoops in his walk).

Ann died on 1st June 1830 and was buried on 6th June 1830 at Lansallos Church. Ann was baptized on 30th January 1770 at Talland Church, daughter of William Rendle and Mary (Rean).

  • Reginald (1795 to 1863) married Eliza Chapman and died in Great Grimsby
  • Mary Barrett 98 (1796 to 1818) buried in adjoining plot at Lansallos Church 
  • Jenny (bap. 1798)
  • Richard (1800 to 1865) moved to Truro and ran a drapers shop on corner of Boscawen Street and Lemon Street. Richard had 6 children with his first wife, Mary Sansom, and 10 children with his second wife Jane John. Richard died in Truro.
  • William Barrett 98 (1803 to 1825) buried in adjoining plot at Lansallos Church
  • Ann Rendle Barrett (1805 to 1888) married John Leach and buried at Lanreath
  • Jane Barrett (bap. 1807)
  • Rendle Barrett (1813 to 1839) buried with wife Ann at Lansallos Church
