Incised with winged angel’s head, an outstretched hand reaches heavenwards with doves in flight; 
finger pointing to hour glass and figure blowing an arrow through a heart.

In Memory of Charles Barrett the husband of
Jane Barrett of the Parish of Lansallos who Departed
This Life the 13th day of January in the year of 1779
In the 47 year of his Age. 

Dear Wife and Children weep not for me nor Lament no more
In Vain. For your Great Loƒs is my Eternal Gain,
I’m Gone to Dust from whence ye Came
I hope my Spirit is returned to God, their will I go and See
All my Friends that Dwell with Chriƒt above where
Angels Lie, them will I go and See
And all my Friends that Dwell with Chriƒt below
Will Soon come after me
