Motifs of death are incised: centrally is the winged angel's head; also winged angels with outstretched arms,
fingers pointing to the hour glass and a heart pierced with an arrow.

Why do we mourn departing Friends
Or ƒhake at Death's Alarms.
Tis but the Voice that Jeƒus ƒends
To call us to his Arms.
My Soul forƒakes her vain Delight
And bids the World farewel;
I am Content to Die

Fain would my Eyes my Saviour ƒee
