Probate records – show Catherine had been living at Little Warren, Polperro, wife of Arthur John Hounsfield, a retired farmer, she left him over £7,000. Catherine was living on her own means before marrying Arthur (1868-1948) in Southgate in 1903; her father had recently died leaving a lamp black manufacturers business & money in trust for all of his children.
